no idea either. and no way to check which created that.

There is no way to check which application has created this folder, as the phone does not have the functionality to link the two.

advised to do a software repair. i will see in next few days if it reappears.

checked at shops, it is on z3, z3c, z2 tablet, z3c tablet. only couple of z3c doesn't have the folder.

also i have lazylist folder, any idea what app created this?

xperia care replied "It is normal for an application to have a folder like this in internal storage" i guess baidu folder was normal, but still they fixed it (i still have the folder, but i am using baidu other apps, so i uninstall and waiting to see if the folder will pop up again). Then how come this folder is not popular, and it is referring to a cloud type app, which may be interested in app related data from the phone.

I'm afraid i don't know of any way to see which app that has created a file/folder on the internal storage. But i checked all the devices you mentionded here and i don't have those folders in my units. Are you sure these didn't appear after you started installing apps?

some of the devices has files dated 12/2014, 01/2015, 10/2014, it is pretty recent, and with internet connection. one that doesn't have internet connection has no file in the folder.

they are demo phones & tablets so they should only have default apps

Hi, landed here after finding this folder on my Z3 as well.

It appears one of the Sony apps (I'm guessing Sony Explore) uses Upvise to manage its data. Just about all of the files are jpgs and as you can see in this screenshot after adding the extension to the files, they are all thumbnails of Sony products.
