My mom just bought her xperia t2 last weekend and last night she ask me how can she put pictures of her friends in her contacts. so i was experimenting with the phone and the problem i had was when i select a picture in her albums the picture is in portrait and when i select it and go to crop mode the picture becomes landscape. it is really weird cause i never encountered this kind of bug in our experia phones. any comments about this??? anyone has encounter this bug? or i just have to do something like in setting?

I just tried that again but no problem like that., try to backup contact first and clear data and cache and restore that again.

after that try it again.

We are aware of this issue. I escalated it internally some time ago.
At the moment i recommend that you take the picture in landscape if you want to use it as a contact picture. If you have an existing picture you want to use you could also copy it to your computer and then add it to the contact from mail.google.com -> Contacts.
