I just bought my Xperia M2 D2303 2 weeks ago, it has the lastest OS KitKat 4.4.4 and the touchscreen seems a bit faulty indeed. Swping in the keyboard randmly it breaks the words. I also tried testing the touchscreen dialing *#*#service#*#*, going to service test/touch screen and I see that when I swipe fast vertically the drawing line jumps. But randomly again.

Checking in the internet this appears to be a common problem with most if not all Xperia phone models. I mean, really Sony? I bought an Xperia because to me Sony is synonimous of quality, this is a real let down. Also because from what I've read some people sent the phone to be repaired and after getting it back it still had the issue.

I just tried. Same thing (and that carried to Lollipop 5.1.1). I've noticed one thing though: while charging it's fine. I wonder if it is because it gets warmer.
