Basically, I bought this phone, dropped it a couple weeks later, screen smashed to peices, don't have the money to replace it, but my friend wants to buy it off of me.

I have a lot of personal information on there already that I don't really want him to have access to, so is it possible to reset it to factory settings without unlocking the screen?

Thanks in Advance, Krip.

Performing a system repair will factory reset your phone - see below for details or you can connect a USB OTG cable then connect to that a USB mouse and control your phone if you can see the picture on the screen if not follow the below

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)

Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
