What interests me is that you are not naming that app nor you are telling us why you want to install that untrusted app for.

I am not finding it safe to click on that link so plz name that app present in that link if possible. We can't trust any link like that unless you say something about that app at least it's name so that we can Google search it and come to that link.

By the way an app cannot directly damage your screen. It's only because of your finger nails it may have developed tiny marks. Even my phone has got marks but i wouldn't blame any apps it's Sonys fault but my screen is still clear it doesn't look dirty or may be when you charge your phone the screen gets heated up and develops cracks i have heard it somewhere but not very sure or there are likely chances that the app itself is drawing more and more power and heats up your screen.

Our screen is hard. It can't be soft. Who is going to apply so much pressure to a screen. Instead of becoming soft it has to break in my opinion. It can develop tiny marks like my phone i don't know EXACTLY what caused them but as i told you it could be because of pressure from our nails or very less likely (not at all sure) screen getting heated up while charging.

But what's the name of that app.? and why do you need it?

I'm convinced this app I installed and tried has changed my phone somehow, my screen which was once firm feels softer than before. I know the app isn't 100% official aswell so more reason to be suspicious. I just never ever thought apps downloaded in play store could ever do me any harm. The link to the app is https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=bbcArabic.Live&hl=en

I will be so grateful if somebody confirm if this is malicious or just evilly developed. But somebody please confirm if it is the culprit of my concern thank you.

An app won't be able to damage your screen, usually they can run in the background and drain battery or just interfere with phone functions. But hardware changes won't be made.

You should contact xperia care and tell them about the app:

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/

The screen cannot be solid rock,it will crack under pressure.

Yes but, somebody please check the safety of that app for me because my phone screen has become softer under pressure since I opened that app. So you need to be more helpful with me about this because of course it's serious. I bought this phone very recently with precious money and for some reason sony thinks that consumers like myself have a money tree well that really isn't right or fair. I'm happy with this phone but it's too prone to malicious apps potentially damaging the software and hardware. So yea. Please check that because I posted the link to the app maybe somebody here with the knowledge can explore the vulnerability. Because if I am just testing an app you know it's not like I'm in love with an app and I want to marry it aswell, you need to make sure that consumers are safe. Dangerous/Malicious/Amateur applications actually appear safe and innocent but they certainly don't have a place for loyal Sony/Android consumers.

Ok there are plenty of cool and handy apps for android but an amateur made app could ruin it all by maliciously altering phone functions leading to hardware damage. It's not a free hand frenzy when it comes to sony phones. I want to know as a android user that I am safe and secure as I wish for others aswell to be safe. Healthy phone healthy customers as I like to say

The link is safe I just don't think the majority of apps on Google play are safe. So it's pretty easy to waste your phone on any old stupid app.
