But when I cancelled that warranty I was told I had a warranty with Sony. I just wanted to see if that could be verified

I bought my phone from T-mobile about 4 months ago and it was working fine until I updated the phone to the new Android software. Now it's super slow and glitches particularly on the keyboard. There are times it just turns off on its own or the screen just stays black.

Is there any way that I can return to the old software or something?

Also when I got the phone It had a t-mobile warranty but I didn't want to pay their fee, is that the same thing as the Sony warranty? If they're not can i find out if I still qualify for the warranty or if I ever had it?

Thanks

Your warranty is with T-mobile most probably. You can try a software repair:

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
