Theme not working after update? (Xperia SP)

Hi,

I downloaded a theme called Polybox and the creators said to look here for support. It mostly works, but the background won't show up -- could it be a clash with the latest update? I would like to have the full use of the thing since it cost money to download, so any advice would be appreciated.

I have a Sony Xperia SP. I'm on 4.3/Jelly Bean. The build number is 12.1.A.1.205

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

You could try to clear data for the theme under settings > apps > press the theme > clear data > restart the phone and try again.

It happens for many SP/M/T/TX/V users because most themes are not optimised for Jelly Bean, only for KitKat. To solve this, you should either wait for a KitKat 4.4 update if it ever comes, or if you rooted your phone download app "/system/app/mover" and convert that theme to a system app and it will work fine. You can also ask the developers to send you those wallpapers.
