Hello

My daughter had her phone grabbed at school today and they tried to enter a code to unlock the phone several times until the phone provided no more attempts. My daughter got her phone back but she is now locked out even though she tried to put her normal passcode in.

I have all the documentation for the phone that is on a contract with O2 and I don't know how to unlock the phone. I phoned O2 and they said to go through this website.

I would be grateful if anyone can help with this - what I should do, my daughter is upset by all this.

Kind regards

Try performing a system repair as this may fix the issue - This will factory reset your phone

However I'm a little concerned that this is not the issue and you require a PUK code from your network or it is also often printed on the packaging the SIM card came in but to perform a system repair follow the below guide

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
