Error loading application from Play

When trying to install something from Play store i receive error dialog saying downloading failed due to error 941. This happens every time and only on first try, clicking ok on error dialog and reclicking install everything goes smooth.

Open Settings then apps and swipe to all and ocate the Play store app and open - Click on Clear cache and data and if possible click on Uninstall and select the uninstall updates and reboot your device and then open Play store and let it update and try again to install apps

Tried resetting download manager, google play store and google play services and clearing data/cache, none of what helped - then tried applications/.../reset app preferences and that seemed to do the trick.

Well unfortunately the solution did not last, the error code is back.

And strange enough it only gives 941on first attempt. Not sure if it is due to phone or the app (play store), but either way i would love getting any ideas how this handsake can be fixed or where i can check the error code(s)?

There could be a few causes of this, however are you connecting using network data or Wi-Fi?

Coonected via Wifi, solid connection so that should not cause any problems. I can try without wifi but i have to get back on that since i am running a evalution/diagnostic on the phone atm and it takes some hours to complete.

Using/not using wifi makes no diffrence, also unistalling app updates and downgrading store to factory default does not help.

In addition to prior measures i did a software reset/recovery/repair via pc-companion. Problem remains.

In this case there is not much left that I can advise other than to speak with your local Xperia Care team regarding having an assessment arranged.

Thanks for Your reply, albeit i am quite frankly not willing to go through the trouble of taking the phone in for assessment, at least not before i am more confident that the problem is due to hardware/sonys software.

I will try to run some diagnostics of my own first - after all the apps get downloaded on second try every time. Seems likely to be some handshaking problem between store and the phone.

Update follows if i can figure something out.

Hi, same thing happens to me nearly every time I try to download from play store. Had my phone for about a week now and already got used to clicking the retry button. Coming from Xperia SP there are a lot less bugs with the Z1C, trust me....

Same happens to me, it's a Sony software issue I reckon, one of many, I will muddle through till I get a new phone, not a Sony phone next time though.
