Would Sony Support provide update for Xperia S & SL which would support Encryption ????

Xperia SL does not show Encryption option in Security Settings.....

This security service is missing from Xperia S Series phones, I saw this issues has been highlighted from more then 1 year on Sony support forums but instead of providing a software update or justification.. Sony has stopped the support for these models

How many years of the software support is provided for its phones by Sony ?

Corporate Emails do not work on Sony Xperia S & SL since Encryption is missing,

The general consensus is 2 years from date of release and as this phone is more than 2 years old then this will account for the device support been stopped

You could choose to use a 3rd party encryption software

Xperia SL was released in Oct 2012, and Sony stopped supporting from 2013 itself, one year after the release date,

Third party Encryption does not encrypt the Storage, only they are useful to file encryption (Native Encryption) is missing
