I think there is a small problem with the WiFi Direct function. I can only send files via WiFi Direct to devices which have either File Commander or Office Suite installed in them. Otherwise, file transfer simply fails. I am on Android 4.3.

Are you experiencing this problem too? Is there any other way to send files vis WiFi Direct?

To be able to send and/or receive files via Wi-Fi Direct you need to use an application. File Commander is an example of an app that supports this function. So it can depend on which phone you are going to send it to, whether the other phone has an application pre installed or not.
