I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..

Before repairing your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.
How to backup?

If the issue should still remain I think that this needs to be examined and fixed at a repair center.

I am tired of this issue now.

Everytime i plug in my headset (actual one which i received in the box) to my phone, it doesnt recognize it. hence, i have to restart my phone after plugging in the headset, after which, i can listen to music through it, however, it also doesnt recognize it when i disconnect it, thereby muting my ear piece useless for making calls. so i have to again restart my phone in order for it to work properly. i have tried reparing it yesterday itself yet there is no solution for the issue.. any advice?

Nope.. The same process has to be repeated after plugging any output device in the 3.5mm jack.
