I have this exact same problem for 7 months. Sometimes standby drain is okay but most times its like this (really crap) even when the phone is reset to factory defaults and nothing installed.

Turning wifi off makes no difference at all, I found the only way to improve it to restart phone and avoid playstore.

Having said that, yesterday was the only day since I got this phone that I could use playstore then let the phone standby without the drain starting, it remained at around 1% per hour. I don't know if this was a fluke or perhaps a play services update was released.

This is what I recommend to get bests standby time on SP

#1 Disable Stamina mode, this does not help at all. If anything makes battery life worse, unless your phone is full of active apps in standby

#2 Restart phone often especially after recharge and don't update apps from playstore unless you have to

#3 Leave all default apps enabled. I tried this, disabling 1 by 1 but it never helped. Yesterday when the problem seemed resolved, I had 0 apps disabled.

#4 Say a prayer at night

After carefully following all posts here, still no reasonable comment on what makes the battery getting dray so quickly.

Please look at my case... I am having (just counted them) 22 apps disabled. The screen shot aas you see is made after full charge with phone OFF, and then leaving the phone unattended for nearly 6h.. 10% is far too much for standby, isn't it?

No, it shouldn't.

I have stamina on all the time, which is supposed to disable the wifi when screen is off.

I think this was discussed here earlier - this is just an indicator that you have the wifi settings ON, not that the wifi is actually on, as the stamina mode does its job.

That is not entirely true, you might have the option to keep wifi on during sleep which will overtake stamina.Check if that is enabled.

In this case, try to boot in safe mode:

http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/How-to-boot-your-phone-into-safe-mode/m-p/348008

Check how it is after 1-2 days in safe mode.

To be honest - never tried safe mode, because I am sure what would be the result - I do not have third party apps.

Now that following your advice I booted in safe mode, I only have 3 apps missing (disabled) file commander, trackid and whatsapp...

Will see what happens

Hi, I have had my SP for about 9 months now, on average, with the phone in standby,bluetooth,wi-fi and GPS all turned off and all instuctions followed ref battery stamina I am lucky if the charge lasts 2 days (totally unused). With the phone shut down it might last 3 1/2 days.

Is there a fuult with the battery or am I missing something

Ticketyboo

Is there a fault with the battery or am I missing something

Try "uninstall updates" for Google Play Services. The phone may be a little less 'smart' but mostly only for google stuff. It's just Google who have found a new way of enhancing their vending experience at the expense of your battery.

Dave

Tell me one think. Regardless of battery draining, how much time you need to charge your phone from less than 10% to 100%?
