Cant update Xperia Z2 android system to 17.1.2.A.0.314

I use the sony companion to try update the android system, but i get stuck at the place where I need to hold the down volume button and pluck into the usb. When i did that process, the phone light blink from red to green in one second. Could anyone help?

Was your phone turned off when you connected with volume down pressed?

yup, i even hold the power button and the up volume button as they suggested.

Try to do it several times and make sure you have at least 60% battery.

i think i tried about 10 times still not working. And also my battery is 80%.

Did you do it when you were prompted?Could you try on another computer?

I literally had the same problem. I was so frustrated I literally wanted to sell my phone lol. What worked for me was not leaving the usb cable in a USB hub when you update. Let it connect directly to the computer. Then redo the process from the beginning and you won't even have to press volume down or anything!

True,do not use an USB hub.

Try another cable or on another computer.Does the connection work fine when you connect via USB to explore files for example?
