You need a .ftf firmware file for your model variant and Flashtools - You will find the files and program and even instructions over on XDA but you may have to search the Z Tablet section for these here

Yeah thought that maybe the case...kinda **bleep** that we have to mess about like that with our expensive tabs..thanks for that anyway mate

Id love too downgrade from kitkat on my tab z...and do it the easy way..without root...
