SD Card damaged

guys i have updated my xperia m2 dual to kitkat version since then i am experiancing the problem, the device shows the warning message "sd card damaged format and reinsert the card" but the problem remains even after formatting the same card or inserting a new one please help me with the issue

So have you tried to format it while connected to your computer?

In this case,try another microSD,yours might be damaged.

Tried another SD card. Encountered the same problems within 15mins of using it

You may need to perform a software repair using PC companion.The process will erase all internal memory.You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 60% battery.

Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).

Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

Tried this, memcard issues still persist. Will try a lower capacity memcard

Downgraded to a lower memcard. No issues again on that front

OK.

I think my SD card: Transcend 16GB class 4 is giving problem. tried with same type with 2GB mem card, its fine. no issues till now.

Hi my m2 has developed same problem, Ive had a 32gb card in since new with no problems until 4.4.4 update. I reformatted the card and seems to be working other than a icon on the app page that looks a bit like a sd card and if I try to select it I get the message app unavailable.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

I had the same pb on my m2 aqua, after i pulled it out without unmounting it. so i formatted the card but it did not work, so i did a factory reset and that solved the pb for me. still use the same card. (16 gb)

Hi,

I made a try today with two SD cards :

32GB of class 4 used with my Xperia M2
I can't take photo with save location to SD card. When I try to transfer my pictures from Internal to SD card with Sony menu, many of pictures were deteriorated. When the card is introduced in phone, the checking spends a very long time.
16GB of class 10 used with my camera
I can take photos with save location to SD card. When I introduce the SD card, it works immediately without pre checking.

I concluded that I should have bought a 32GB SD card in 10 class.

same problem here, Sony experia M2, my microsd card keep getting damaged every 2/3 day, it's a Sandisk extreme 16GB class 10...

I'm also experiencing the same issue. even after reformatting the SD card getting the same message "SD card is damaged" though it is working for another mobiles and computers.
