&lt;P&gt;First of all make sure that mobile data traffic is enabled under settings &amp;gt; more &amp;gt; mobile network.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Also make sure that the network mode is set to WCDMA/GSM.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;You can also try to download new Internet settings for your phone if you go to settings &amp;gt; Xperia &amp;gt; Internet settings. Check the download/install procedure in the notification field, when it is done, you may have to restart your phone.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have owned an Xperia L C2104 since last April 14, and I have been having this exact same problem &lt;STRONG&gt;since last Monday (May 12)&lt;/STRONG&gt;. The phone detects the data connection (as indicated by the "3G" or "H" logo over the signal bars), but most applications appear to be unable to use it. &lt;STRONG&gt;None of my Google-related apps work anymore&lt;/STRONG&gt;. However,&lt;STRONG&gt;other apps appear to work&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have been discussing the issue with my carrier (T-Mobile), and they keep escalating my problem; I haven't reached the top of their pyramid, but none of their troubleshooting (e.g., remotely resetting the phone, reinstating their settings) has worked so far.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Furthermore, I have returned the phone, &lt;STRONG&gt;got a new one (same model) - which shows *exactly* the same problem&lt;/STRONG&gt;! This would make hardware failure a very unlikely cause. I have tried the f&lt;STRONG&gt;actory data reset&lt;/STRONG&gt; several times on both phones, with no luck.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The fact that some apps *do* work seems to point in the direction of some software problem. &lt;STRONG&gt;Did Sony roll out some update around May 12 that somehow broke the ability of some applications to access the data connection&lt;/STRONG&gt; (at least on T-Mobile)?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please advise,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;In that case I would suggest that your first of all check that no Proxy server within your APN settings may be the issue. You can check this by going to&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Settings &amp;gt; More (Wireless &amp;amp; networks) &amp;gt; Mobile networks &amp;gt; APN or Access Point Names &amp;gt; Your Internet APN. Check if any details are set for Proxy and Proxy port. If yes you can try to delete them (temporarily) and save the APN.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Restart your phone. If you still experience the same behavior I would suggest that you try with a new or another SIM card in your device.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
