Screen won't wake after notification

This seems to be an ongoing problem with this handset. The screen will not wake after a notification when it is on standby. Is there any solutions to this problem?

Trying to boot in safe mode is difficult as you cannot see what is happening in the os. You can still hear sounds and feel vibrations.

Are you on stamina mode or some battery saver app?

It would turn On on every notification even in pocket, so the device only wakes on calls, not messages or fb updates. Turning screen on every notification could make the phone to open apps and do costs inside pocket.

I have solved the issue by turning OFF glove mode. I have a matt screen protector on my phone, and not sure if that was causing my phone problems or not. I'll try again in a few days to see if glove mode causes this issue again.

I have had this problem return intemittently over the last month or so and now will send it back to Sony for inspection.
