Dear desperate Sony users.

I have Xperia Z1 Compact for 6 months. When this phone first upgraded to KitKat, a problem occured that is crackling sounds. Now with the new 14.4.A.0.108 update new problems evolved.

This new problem is related to the touchscreen. Touchscreen clicks some random point on the screen at random times without my inputs. I do not touch the screen, but it behaves like i touch it (or wants me to touch it :D).

It is a very bad problem that many times I lost my works!!

By the way, I did a factory reset and a clean install the newest update. I upgraded via SUS, as well. The problem still occurs.

Sony need to solve this problem immediately, or Sony can publish a downgrade system that we can turn back to the old but working versions.

However, we want to newest working system that Sony can do it easly. Please some help!! IT TOUCHES RANDOMLY.

I'm having he same problem on my Z1C 4.3 JB, but this happens quite rarely and it is always solved by powering off and on the screen (just locking and unlocking the phone).

Do you use a screen protector? If yes, you may try to use a different one.

It probably has smething to do with dust on the display or screen protector, I believe that software resets/upgrades/downgrades won't work.

Does it happen all the time? Even in safe mode? If yes, you should definitely have your phone replaced.

I have a screen protector installed and it happens once in a week or two -the screen protector probably catches more dust, so I can't judge unbiasedly if it's really a Z1 Compact problem. Wiping and restarting the screen always worked for me.

Edit: If it happens always in the same spot, it is probably a hardware failure.

I am sorry to hear about this, however given what you have tried up to this point we really are only left with having the handset assessd by an authorised agent. Please contact your local Xperia Care team to have this arranged.

Thanks for the reply. But my local sony service does not know anything about software or hardware im in turkey. I found a flashtool in the sony mobile site. Does it really void the warranty? I think last update is the problem.
