camera issue

Hi, everyone

My Xperia J camera has suddently stopped working. When I hit the camera icon, there sia message saying "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped"

1) I have tried switching off and on the phone

2) I have re-isntalled the software from PC Companion (using the repair option)

The problem persists.

Can anyone, please, shed some light into this?Thanks

I would suggest that you first of all try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

Yes, I have started the phone in safe mode, but unfortunately the problem remains. It does no open the camera, and the "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped" message pops up.

Any other suggestion, please?.

I am starting to believe it is a HW problem?

If you have an SD card inserted in your phone you can try to remove it and restart your phone and try again.

If you still experience the same behavior I would suggest that you have your phone examined by a service center. Please contact your local Xperia support team for more information:

Hi, again

SD card removed, and the problem remains.

I have even installed a couple different camera applicatins, and none of them work, so I assume the prboem is hardware related.

I will contact a local Service Center.
