Update causing crashes

I recently updated my Sony Xperia SP with the new software, instantly I regretted it as the phone turned into a mess, every app I open within a few seconds 'isn't responding' and has to be closed. The phone is incredibly slow and doesn't load things properly, is there a way to revert it back to how it was/ reinstall the software and try again? I've already done a factory reset which actually made it worse! Really need an idea of what to do and whether I can sort it rather than taking it back to the shop!

I have downloaded that but once downloaded it says it can't open the file!

I'm pretty stumped as to what else to do!

You have to download SUS on your computer,not phone.

If you are on Windows 8 or 8.1 on your pc open it with compatibility mode for windows 7..ok?
