Z2 not waterproof

Hi there,

I use my Z2 for photo taking during swimming. the photo got into water. i send to repair and repair take about 1 week.

after a month, i try again.it got into water again. so sad... spend so much money to buy a useless phone and it not waterproof as it stated. I ask for 1 to 1 exchange due to the phone had got into 2 times. but Sony said they cannot due to company policy. so sad. i don't trust sony anymore. As i support them since Z started. but i did try for my Z and Z1. cannot buy really cannot buy......

Why did you try it a second time?

I won't let mine anywhere near water!

he first time it happened, you should've asked for the 1 for 1 exchange. That way you should get a newer device that has the design flaw fixed. But you ended up repairing it.

So what exactly is the design flaw????? The reason it was repaired & not exchanged seems to be up to whatever Carrier/Country you live in....from what i have read on the numerous messages on the Forum it does seem to be Sony who insist on a repair being carried out tho some Carriers much to their credit exchange the phone.....and argueing/demanding wont really get you far

As part of the repair the Z2 should have been vacuum tested.....if it was & there is documentation to say what repair was carried out & if it was vacuum tested then just get back to whover you dealt with or if it was not vacuum tested ask why not

Also to ask why he let it near water again could be a valid point but at the end of the day the Z2 is supposed to be waterproof afterall.......:smileysmileythumbsup:

Same problem here. My first Z2 was not waterproof.

I got it repaired and so now it is. Sony Centre do not take into your consideration of one to one exchange no matter the reason. We don't have a say and thats the truth.
