Hi guys. I've just had a nightmare repair after I cracked my screen and needed a new digitizer - it wasn't working after the first repair and had to be done again so the whole process took 2 weeks. After I cracked it everything was working fine and the first thing I did was to call my friend to tell him I'd dropped it (doh!), call quality was perfect with no problems.

I finally got my phone back supposedly 'fixed' yesterday and now the microphone is incredibly muffled. I thought it wasn't working at all but found out that the person on the other end can hear me if I put it on speaker and basically have it in my mouth. Even then it's quiet. I tried with the recorder app and the same thing so it's not just call settings. I've turned off noise suppression and all that.

When the repair people put the first new screen on, it came with a new surrounding bit but the second time, they used my old surround and just put new glass in.

Does anybody have any idea what might be wrong? I don't know anything, but is it possible some screen protector has been left on and so is muffling the sound? I can't see much in the microphone hole but I think it might be a bit reflective...

Thanks

That seems to be a hardware issue, you should take it back to a Sony Xperia Care Center

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
