Can not change Caller ID

Hi,

I am having a problem with my sony z1 as I can not chnage the caller ID from Setteings!!

Thus I can not make a call to anybody??

Could someone help

the caller ID setting is to control whether your phone number appears on the screen of whoever you are calling.

can you be more specific?

what makes you think you can't call from your phone because you can not change that setting?

Thanks for your replyment!

It is a very good question you have asked!

This is becuase within the country that I am in at the momenet, the network provider does not allow the number to be hidden when you ever try to make a call to someone. Your number should always be visibal!! otherwise the call gets terminated as soon as you make a call!

I was oversease and the phone was setted to hidden numbers, But when I come to this country I have to chnage it back to "show the number" in order to make a call. Unfortunatelly I can not!!

I do not know why!!

Other mobile phones they are able to chnage the caller Id and they can select from the options provided "show, hide or use the default!!

Since you have that limitation by the network operator, you could try changing the option to "default", maybe it works like that. Or going to your operator center to change it might help.

Did you change the card with a local one or are you on roaming?

If you are on roaming, you shuld be able to change to default.

If you changed with a local card, change back to the original one, change to network default, then change back to local card.

It happened to me while travelling in China...

Thnaks guys for your relpyments

I did cntact the operator and they said if your local card works in another mobile phone then we have nothing to do for you as the problem is within your mobile phone!

I did check my simcard on another mobile and it works fine (I can make calls and everything....

But when I put it back to my xperia z1 I can not make calls ( though I can recieve calls, SMS....etc.) Also, I can txt other people

I tried to change it back to the default, but I can not as the options are hidden (means I can not select the option of chnaging the Caller ID...

I will try to put it in roamining and see whether I will be able to chage to default!!

That should be!

1) Change it to default with your own card in roaming.

2) Change the card with the local one.

I do not know why i can not select the caller ID options (It is just hidden, not highlighted to be selected )

Could someone come with an idea, before I reset the factory of it

What may cause the calls to be terminated immediatly other than the caller ID options??

This problem is only with my xperia z1, the calls gets terminated as soon as I tried to make a call!

I tried my card on another mobile phone and it works fine with no problems, but with my xperia I can not make calls ????!!!
