Ok..that didn't work. But I just went back to the browser to tell you it didn't work and it wouldn't do anything when I clicked on the subject to get into this thread. I tapped about 5 times continuously and my pull down screen appeared! That was by tapping about 2 inches from bottom of screen. I'm now noticing just by typing this, that the touch screen isn't as sensitive...missing letters etc.

Hi everyone, hoping someone can help.

As the subject says - the status/notification bar (or whatever its called) is not 'pulling down'. I've switched phone off and on a few times. Pressed the little red button next to sim card slot....nothing is working.

Any ideas/solutions appreciated.

Many thanks

I've also realised that the phone isn't deleting photos that I 'delete'. I thought I was going mad, seeing photos still in the album that I thought I'd deleted. I emptied the deleted photos from the 'bin', and then i go back to the photo album and they're still there. Think this phone needs a trip back to the shop.

I bought xperia z2 2 weeks ago. Just today my phone went crazy. The screen started detecting random touches every where _ghost touches_. I switched it off several times until the problem was solved . But apparently a new problem appeared. Now I can't scroll down the notification bar. I went to diagnostics where I could test the device. I tested the touch input and surprisingly the status bar area detects nothing at all. The screen works responds properly except for the upper most part ( status bar area). So I guess that this is a software problem . I tried restarting the device several times but it never worked. I hope I'll find a solution.

Should be Replaced.

But I ve found out one usefull remedy to gain the nortification bar pulled down.

Your Phone need root access.

In adb command ... just type .... adb shell wm overscan 0,50,0,0

this should retract the top of the display and nortificaiton bar work again.

if 50 not work put 100

Thanks
