Hi, I have had the Z2 for around 2 months now. It is gr8 phone, but has a few niggles. The most serious for me is that the sleep function just stops working every now and then.

That is even though Settings->Display->Sleep is set to say 30 seconds the screen does not go to sleep even after put down for 5 minute plus.

This is an intermittent problem. i.e. it works most of the time, then stops working once or twice a week. Once it stops working, it never works again, even if you change the sleep time, disable smart backlight control etc. The only way to fix it is to reboot the phone. Then it works again for a few days.

The problem is that if you don't notice this it drains the battery.

Anyone else seen this problem?

It could be that this atrts happening after taking it off the magnetic docking charger, but I cannot be sure if this is the cause. It certainly does not go to sleep even when off the charger.

It's one of the apps you installed.

Used to happen with my Z2 as well as Galaxy S4. Some apps just don't behave well, and you have to kill them after using (or uninstall in anger, like I did) to fix this issue. Some apps that I really liked, I kept killing after use, and contacted their support. Only after patch did the issue go away.

The fact that a restart fixes it may also indicate this problem. Trial and error to see which app it is for you.
