Ongoing problems with z1

I bought the Z1 in january and was very happy during the first month or so but then the problems started. Initially they started with the new update but has been going on ever since, despite new updates. I've tried resetting the phone but that didnt help at all, problems kept occuring. It's difficult to pinpoint the exact problem since its so many different things all the time. It can be anything from not beeing able to write a sms (search for contacts), constant freezing, weird words and letters appearing when writing sms, home button stops working etc etc. What exactly is the problem? My provider takes several weeks to return the phone if im to send it in to them and i dont have a spare.

You might have some apps acting up.Try booting in safe mode:

Will that solve anything or is it just for testing if in fact it is because of an app?

Seems to be working better in safe mode. How do i know whats bugging the phone? I dont have any shady apps, just big name ones and very known.

Phone is acting up again, and its several weird problems again. Phone list dissapears, last dialed numbers, last received calls etc. Camera keeps lagging, same with my GFs phone. (We got ours at the same time). I've again tried to reset entire phone and nothing works, problems keep occuring after a while. Sometimes i cant type sms as all types of letter appear when i try to type and sometimes i cant even do anything because the touchscreen just wont work.

Is it time to send the phone in for a check up, are these problems common? (Since my GF has the same kind of problems)

Sorry for the time away from the thread btw, ive been away travelling and just got another baby.

Download sony update service from here:

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/

Install,open and follow the steps provided.

That stated that i already had the latest version. I dont feel like reinstalling everything on the phone, losing everything again, for a fourth time since its never helped before. What else can i do?
