Hi

I've been having issue with connectivity to my mobile network when i've set my device Preferred Network Mode to LTE (preferred)/WCDMA/GSM. There appears a red cross throught my sin=gnal strength indicator. This happens when im connected to Wifi and when I'm not connected.

Fix is normally to reboot the device.

I've since change the preferred network mode to WCDMA (preferred)/GSM and no longer experience this issue.

I'm using a LTE micro SIM.

Thanks

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

First of all I would suggest that you talk to your network provider to see if there is some problem on the LTE network or perhaps on your subscription.

So i know of 2 other people having to do same thing with the sony mobile devices, one shares same network as i do, and the other doesn't.

So your response wrt to it be network related then 'doesn't hold much water'.

I see but have you talked to your network provider?

You could also try with another SIM card to see if you experience any difference.

Well in that case I would suggest that you try to update/repair the phone software using PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

In PC Companion, press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Press the blue link that says "Repair phone/tablet".

Before repairing the software in your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to:
http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/FAQ/Backup-amp-Transfer/m-p/407253#U407253

Hi,

My phone still has same problem. The Service provider authorised repair center has completed updates numerrous times. The problem is in fatc worse than before in that sometimes i have no signal at all. I need to reboot the phone in order for signal to come back. I use a separate provider for data, and even that fails to work when the mobile service is out.

Help please
