Hi all,

I am having trouble: wifi is not working on my Z1 at home.

- Wifi is working just fine on laptop and on my mom's iPhone.

- No changes were made: password, modem reset, hardware.

- Yesterday everything was okay. Today all of a sudden it stopped working on my phone.

- It shows full bar, I am able to connect but can't load mails, messages neither browse on the web.

- The arrow indicating upload (upwards) stays on almost all time, but arrow down (download) only turns on from time to time.

Tried switching phone off and then on, airplane mode on and then off, forget and reconnect, nothing worked.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I would reboot the router.

(Is that what you mean when you say 'modem reset' ? )

Tried rebooting the modem, still the same problem.

Just an update: wifi on my mom's iPhone's gone too.

Could it be some sort of ip conflict?

could be many things. wifi interference from elsewhere, badly configured router, router bug...

connect to router from computer, see if you can see what IPs it gives out to devices, if the router sees them as connected.

ping the devices from your computer, see what it says

check what IPs the devices think they have (install some terminal emulator like juiceSSH or connectbot and do ifconfig

It's solved, thanks for your attention.

I just brought the wireless modem to it's factory settings and made sure to have a backup of the last config just in case.
