Time after 12:00 does not display "pm"

Need help with my unit's time not displaying the "pm".

For example, for 10:20pm it displays either 22:20 (in 24 hr format) or 10:20.

Settings-date and time-untick use 24 hour format.

I have tried that repeatedly, even reset phone to factory and started all over.

For any time in the afternoon/evening, the unit will NOT display pm. 😞

This is strange.Did you also try a software repair?

Thank you for the quick reply. This is a brand new phone I received in the mail Wednesday (purchased from Amazon since I couldn't find it on the Sony website). It appears to be made for foreign market, as it was set to Chinese language to start with, plug is 3-pronged (though the Amazon seller did include an adaptor).

Please extrapolate how to perform a "software repair."

You need sony update service,it will reinstall actual firmware.But I am not sure it will help if you say the phone is for foreign country.

Reinstalled the software per Sony website as you suggested.

Everything seems just as before, PM still doesn't display.

Any other suggestions?

I think you should stop by a sony service and let them take a look:

Contacted Sony technical support, they really don't have much info since this model is currently not available for the US market.

Can anyone else out there tell me if your Z1C shows the "PM" on the time display?
