Hi !

Yes i know ,there are many threads with this... But please somebody explain me why is this ?

See pictures.

The facts:

Stamina ALWAYS ON.

Almost NO-WIFI/DATA

GSM Only.

Stock ROM. (No root, closed BL,never touched them because of warranty)

No third party apps. Nothing ,only Stock stuffs.

The nearly horizontal lines means when stamina turned on by ITSELF !

Flight/SAFE-Mode suffers from this too.

All the other times the battery drains ~1-1.5%/hrs.

When Stamina works ,sometimes a call ,an sms or anything disrupts it ,sometimes not.

And finally after many hours automatically TURNS OFF although it's swith is ON !

Service center said : everything fine ,no faulty parts. Nothing.

Tried to repair with PC Companion ,SUS,restore factory defaults ,etc. No effect. Still the same.

~3 month ago i brought home my phone from the SC with an updated FW. Maybe they broke my phone ? Because from that point Stamina doesnt work.... Is it possible ?

Summa summarum : what can i do now ???

And now ,the pics :

At first sorry for my poor english...

Well.

The Stamina switch is ALWAYS ON but i have constant battery drain : ~1-1.5 %/hr.

At some point(randomly) ,Stamina starting to work. Almost no drain under 10-24 hrs.

Please check the pictures !

In V4.1.2 (when i purchased the phone) it worked fine. I had ~14 days uptime.

I hope you understand me...

Forgot : FW .201 is installed. (2 weeks ago)

An observation : .266 and .201 has the SAME SuperStamina.apk ! Byte identical. (AFAIK Sony said its improved since .266. LOL)

The STAMINA mode will constantly re-evaluate your usage and update the expected standby time accordingly.

This standby time will completely vary depending on your own personal usage. You may see that when you first start using your handset, the Standby time will be higher than what is expected after you have used the handset for a few days. This is due to STAMINA mode having no previous usage history to estimate from.

If you have a very high usage level, you may only see a slight improvement between having STAMINA enabled and disabled. STAMINA mode is more effective the more often the display is turned off as this is when the power saving features kick in. If the display is rarely turned off, you may not see much improvement in the battery performance.

Hello akkush,

When my phone was on 4.1 fw stamina mode sometimes did not work for me. It sometimes drained 20% overnight even though stamina was on. I installed an app called wakelock detector and saw that com.sonyericsson.wakeup was waking the phone and I guess it relates to this fast dormancy thing. I disabled stamina and sometimes got better battery back up. Now on 4.3 I never activated stamina and my overnight battery consumption is about 5% but that app still wakes the phone a lot. The thing is if some app wakes the phone then other apps runs for a little time too I guess.

Another solution was found in developer options. Some user here posted it, it was about clearing caches and limiting background processes. I've tried that and battery back up was really good but notifications arrived late or never. But if you never ever use Internet it could help you. I can try and find that post if you can't.

network signal : i have good coverage. (gauge filled to max or at least 3/4)

the main "problem" is : STAMINA. only 2 times works good in one discharge cycle. check pics. WHY ?

all other times battery drains 1-1.5%/hrs.

in v4.1.2 i had no problem like this.

with all respect ,do you understand my problem ?

I checked out the screenshots. The system and a main app seem to run wildly. Likes of my Xperia may be causing some wakes and interruptions? It keeps reminding you untill you dismiss it or activate it, if you activate it it also enables gps and location sharing. Also maybe you have some apps trying to sync even without Internet connection. Or it could just be new firmware settling down.

I also saw nfc there, do you use it? You know nfc icon does not appear on status bar and newly installed firmwares tend to leave it enabled by default. Check it and disable it if you're not using it. It caused some overheating and battery drain back in the day for me.

You probably tried it but did you try clearing caches of the apps that are managing batterry like eco mode controller?

NFC off.

GPS off.

Sync off.

(I dont need and never used them)

Eco mode controller : i'm done with it. Doesnt work.

Only basic phone usage.

The FW is ~2 weeks old on my phone.

In the last 24 hrs stamina worked fine without interruption. After that suddely stopped worked again. In the last 3 hrs the battery drained 4% without phone usage. (good coverage ,GSM only)

Okay, now I'm waiting for 2-3 charging cycles and see what happens...

Thanks for the help.

Back again.

No change ,still draining in stamina. Looks like its better without it. (tried weeks before)

3 days ago ,i used my phone at the first point when stamina "autoactivates" itselff ,and voila.... It doesnt activated instead comes the draining cycle. My phone lasts ~3 days. Now im on the third discharging cycle.

No matter what im doing ,my SP lasts max. 5 days WITHOUT USING. (ok ,lied ,i had ~20 mins of call, nothing else)

If anybody have any idea.....

I think im going to root and try custom ROMs.
