I bought my Sony E1 this month. Everything was working fine until this morning. I always set my E1 to ring alarm at 6AM, but i heard nothing this morning. I looked at my Sony E1 and i found out that it's dead. I tried everything to turn it on (press power + volume up buttons, press power + volume up buttons while charging) but nothing worked. I tried to use PC Companion but my PC doesn't recognize my Sony E1 anymore. Last night the battery was at 60% and i believe it would still take 1,5 day to deplete the battery.

Right now, there is a red light when i charge my Sony E1

Please help me.

I have experienced similar problems twice, which I have managed to overcome, but I would like more infomration about the causes and solutions.

My problems seem to be battery related so I am considering if buying another battery would help.

The first time around my phone got slightly damp, think that may have cuased battey issues, so I left it to dry out.

The 2nd time it just died overnight for now apparent reason.

While trying to charge from the mains power a red light comes on the phone is dead and wil not sitch on.

When pressing the power button, somtimes a battery charging image appears briefly on the phone.

So I buy and charge a 2nd battery?

Is there some sequence of button/actions that will help reset the phone in this case?

Removing an reinserting the battery have have helped in the last instance or hitting the pwoer and volume buttons a few times.
