Album app problem

My album app has suddenly stopped working. Whenever I try to access it, a message saying "Memory Unavailable: Memory unmounted or unavailable. Mount memory to continue.", shows up. I do have a SD and I can view my pictures in other apps like Google+ Photos but my Album app isn't viewing any. Please help.

Were are you saving the pictures taken by camera?

Yes. They automatically get saved and stored.

I have about 900 on my internal memory and a few hundred more on my SD card.

Try settings-apps-all-album,force stop and clear data.Restart and check it.

I have tried doing that, before and now as we speak, but to no solution. The same message still appears. I usually keep clearing the cache, and did that a few hours back. The app was working fine after clearing the cache for an hour or so and all of a sudden just crashes and displayes the certain text.

If you remove the micro SD,how is it?

Displays the same message. I'm sure no data is lost. But it just won't read or recognise it. This is affecting many other apps including my Whatsapp. I'm not able to share/recieve pictures, update my profile picture or view other's profile picture.

Try settings-apps-all-media storage,clear data and force stop.Restart.

I have xperia z and a problem with album app after updating to kitkat,and updating album app recently. In album app there are so many thumbnails generated for both videos and photos equal to the number of photos and videos present.Have tried clearing cache in album,and also deleted thumbnails folder in internal storage, butproblem has not resolved,after 1 or 2 days they reappear...please help me
