Walkman player not scanning sd files

Walkman player only showing the internal memory songs
Sd card is accessible through file manager and in album the images in sd card is also showing
I just dis mount the sd card and remounted it but the songs not added to Walkman
Please give me a solution (not a factory reset)

Try settings-apps-all-walkman,clear data for both apps.Restart and keep us updated.

I have the same problem. Clearing data and restarting didn't fix it.

Same problem . Not fixed by clearing Media storage...

I tell you history . Before 16GB sd card I was using 2gb then I removed that 2GB then insert 16GB then problem started...

Please Help me.

Reformat your microSD to FAT32 using a low level format tool.

I tried low level format tool , But still problem is There ... If I reset (factory reset) my all apps & contacts ,msgs will gone or not ??

I also want to tell you , I tride with another music player ..:smileyrolleyes: but it is also not scanning the songs from SD card. In that player there is option for scannig, still its not able to scan.. is thre any protection mode for SD card in Android 4.3 (XPERIA M DUAL) ?

WoW I follw this step goes into Safe mode but same thing happened..:smileycry: Still Walkman can not scan..(In safe mode )

SD card is detected.. Its also show mount / unmount options.. But Photos & Songs not scanned..

Something might be blocking the media scan.I suggest you go for a software repair:

Dude i solve my problem .. I google it. i give a link you can also check .. There is .nomedia file in my root folder (Android folder of phone memory) so only that reason my Xperia's walkman & album scan the Songs.. Thanks for ypur help & suggestion. And I avoid my Factory reset too.

I've just had this issue, it started when I was trying to remove the gracenote data on the songs as it majorly messed it up, giving Japanease/Chinese style characters I couldnt read..

What I did to CAUSE the problem was deleting user info and clearing the cache on anything media or walkman based. I could see the files were there, but couldnt play them in walkman.

What I did to fix it.

Plugged Xperia Z into laptop, Copied the music from SD to my hard drive. (any anything else) Unplugged Xperia Z

Went to Settings/Storage/SD and wiped the SD card

Plugged Xperia Z back in and copied all the music across again

Fixed!
