Reception issues

Hi i've been having an ongoing issue with my xperia z1.

for some reason my z1 cannot receive cellular network yet i can connect to carrier network and surf the net etc but cannot send or receive a text message or even a simple call to my carrier providers, it says there is no service available but i have full bars and connected the there network.

i've tried my sim in another handset to which it works fine. able to send and receive texts/phone calls

would like to get it fixed without hving to spend needless amounts of money.

i've unlocked the bootloader etc but to still no prevail.

somebody please help???

If you have unlocked the bootloader there could a large number of reasons for this error and we may be a little limited as to what we can advise you to do. Have you already loaded a custom ROM on your handset and if so have you checked to see if this is a known issue with the ROM you have loaded.

thanks for the reply.

i have had this issue long before i unlocked the bootloader. i unlocked it thinking that it will solve the issue but it hasnt and i am just lost on what to do next. have updated it to the latest 4.4.4 firmware but still doesnt work the way i want it to. it works just like a normal phone but will still not send or receive a text or phone call, just comes up with "connection problem or MMI code" message
