Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Unfortunately, it sounds more related to a hardware problem if the touch does not work while you are using the key pad. I suggest that visit nearest service center to have your unit examined by a technician. You can contact your local support team for further information about nearest service center and/or how to proceed with this in the best possible way:
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/contact-info/

Hi,

Thanks for ur rply... but I my phone worked fine with 2.3 ginger bread version. When I updated it to 4.0 touch is not working while using the physical key pad.

Problem:For messaging I generally use physical key pad,so as usual while typing the message I opened the key pad and suddenly touch screen is not working.

I switched off my phone after 5 mins again restarted it, and found that utill the key pad is not opened touch works fine, if the key pad is opened Touch has gone.

So it is being my daily problem, as a daily activity when I receive any message and need to reply it my hands are habituated to open the key pad and the problem starts.

Finally I want to get back the phone with its original 2.3 ginger bread OS.

Please help me out how to do this..

From my point of view when you describe your problem, it doesn't sound like a software issue but more like a hardware problem. Thereby, why I suggest that you visit nearest service center to have your unit examined by a technician.

Regarding downgrade, it might be possible for a technician at a service center to do it. But I suggest that you contact your local support team for further assistance in this matter:
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/contact-info/
