Black screen all the time

Hello, I recently bought a new Xperia L and since the first day I got it, when I have it in my pocket or at random the screen turns black. I can see the backlight turning on but I cannot see anything on the screen, and it takes half a minute or more for the screen to turn on(sometimes the screen turns on with weird colors for a second and then black again). Could it be software problem or shall I return it? Thanks in advance

Download SUS and try a repair:

http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/update-service/

If this does not help,take the phone back.

I re-installed the firmware but same again. Looks like it's hardware. Does the warranty fix it? It was like this since the first time I turned it on
