It's more an upper mid-range phone - the flagships have quad cores and 2GB RAM. Still, it doesn't perform like it should.

But, yeah - I have exactly the same RAM issues. It's around 400MB after a reboot, then it'll slowly go down to less than 200MB and start to lag. If I don't reboot for 4 days, it'll die completely and need a hard reset - hopefully not when I'm out and about.

I've tried using Greenify to shut down stuff in the background, disabled Chrome and lots of other stuff, but nothing works so far. 4.1.2. used to shut down Walkman if I tried to browse the net at the same time (4.3 is OK on that score), but it never crashed completely and need a reset. Not sure if this is progress or not.

Really hoping 4.4 happens, as it's designed to work with less RAM and processing power. Just what the SP needs. Holding off on CM 11 for now - it doesn't sound much better.

Hi,

My phone is very sluggish when I multitask, like havinf the torrent open and browsing at the same time or when I try to open the settings my phone freezes and it takes a minute to get unstuck.

Now I had the idea to enable force gpu rendering. The phone with this option enabled it literally flies! No sluggishness no freezing while multitasking, no matter what I throw its just insaneky fast.

Does anyone kbow if that is normal?
Seems to be down to RAM management issues - certainly on mine anyway. Not sure forcing GPU rendering will have an effect, but worth a go.

Forcing gpu actually made a huge difference. I dont know how you define normal. Having the torrent open and browsing at the same time or openinf the settings, is not something extreme. Thus being sluggish and freezing for a minute is unacceptable.

Now regarding Ram management. I have the latest 201 ftf and around 250-300 free ram. Although when I restart my phone I have aeound 400+ free ram but it becomes less and less as i use the phone.
