The force shut down doesnt do anything because i cant get the phone to stay on.

And yes, the way i normally do it is to charge it until it turns on automatically. Now, it will turn on, load the home screen and immediately power off again. It's as if its not holding enough charge to actually turn on, so as soon as it is on, it will turn off again...

Hi,

My sony xperia sp is having problems starting up. I damaged the lock button, so the only way i can turn it on now is to put it on charge until it happens automatically.

Since updating, it now charges till it turns on but turns immediately off again, before i have a chance to do anything.

Any ideas are welcome!

Thanks

Try the forced shutdown:

http://userguide.sonymobile.com/referrer.php?region=global-en&product=xperia-sp#!Turning-on-or-off-the-device---heading-only.html

After this,how is the phone?
