Xperia V 4.3 update

my friends just updated her phone to 4.3 using the sony pc companion. i was shoked to see the updated version of her phone. so when i tried it in my pc for my phone, it would always prompt that my phone is up to date even though it is stil 4.1.2.. When i tried to factory reset it to try it would work and still the pc companion says my phone is still up to date. please help

if you're using smart communications sim, the update is already available weeks ago. They are quite on time in regards to rolling the update from the manufacturer.

yes im using smart comm sim but still i kept on waiting but still there were no updates yet. my phone always tells me that my phone is up to date with its firmware. even i tested the factory reset i assumed that it would revert back to its old firmware but when i updated it with the pc companion it would still prompt as your device is up to date

Kindly check the settings of the update center on your phone. Maybe you have selected to receive system through wifi only, select mobile network too,

it was already set for wifi or mobile data..

That's weird. Just bring your phone to the nearest service center and let them download the update for you just be sure to back up your files before the update.

yeah i really think this would be weird because i tried most of the things suggested in the forum. thanks for the help
