why is it that my email on the phone is only visible while it is on the server, as soon as I remove it from the server onto my computer, it is removed from the phone. Why does it not stay on the phone in the lnbox? It's very annoying. Do I have a setting that l'm meant to tick? Thanks in advance. Al.

The phone doesn't have a local storage for emails like your computer does so when an email is deleted from the server it's also removed from the phone. The email client you use in your computer should have a setting for leaving a copy on the server. If you enable that you will still be able to read old emails in the phone.

Thanks for the reply. That's a bit of an issue, I use it for business. Is there a work around, other than leaving the messages on the server. I have to say, even my old Defy plus stored the messages on board. Telstra failed to mention this when I bought it.

The only solution when using our email client is to leave a copy on the server. If you don't want to do that you could try another email client like K9 Mail which seems to have a local storage according to this page: https://github.com/k9mail/k-9/wiki/LocalMessages
