Unable to dail from bluetooth accessories

just bought a Xperia T2 Ultra Dual with using two sim cards. but the phone is unable to take any dailing request from my VW bluetooth car kit, smartwatch 2 and all other bluetooth handsfree. i had a xperia Z ultra and it is perfectly fine doing that.... this is unacceptable and i rely on bluetooth phone kit a lot

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

I'm not sure but i suspect this has to do with the phone having two SIM-cards so it needs to know what SIM-card to use.
I will forward you question internally and see if i can get more information about this.

Thanks a lot for your help Rickard. I try to disable sim card 2 and bluetooh dialing works fine. When both Sim 1 and Sim 2 are enabled, the phone simply ignore all dialing requests from bluetooth... I rely on bluetooth car kit and hands free a lot so having only one SIM card enabled in order to use bluetooth would defeat the purpose of having a dual sim phone... It seems to me that this problem is unique to this dual sim phone and I hope a software update will fix this problem soon (at least offer a choice to set as default for which SIM to handle dailing request via bluetooth)

I got some more information about this and when you have two SIM cards and try to place a call from a bluetooth device you should get a dialog in the phone where you can select which SIM to use. Do you get any dialog in your phone when you try to make an outgoing call from your car?

I am facing similar issue as piscean22 here, Rickard.

YES all of the above you suggested works but When I'm driving I will not be happy to reach out for my phone and select which SIM to make a call. The very purpose of using bluetooth accessory (car dialing keypad) or from SBH52 gets defeated.

I would prefer a settings option where we can select "Default SIM card for calls" just like "Sim card for data traffic" which is there under Dual SIM settings.

Expectingt the update solves this issue with the integration stated above.

Rickard, It surely can be added. Sony must urgently fix this bug. If you need help look at ZTE or Alcatel devices. I used 2 dual SIM phones from this vendor's before and never had such problem. To dial from dialpad while driving is rediculous. We have to look at the road not at the phone!

I have Sony SBH 52 bluetooth headset it can access call log from my t2 ultra but when dialing through bluetooth phone is asking SIM card 1 or 2 so there is no use of bluetooth coz i have to select SIM every time,, does anyone have solution for this ? have tried many apps for SIM but no solution:smileyshocked:

Mee to hfacing the same problem not able to dial from bluetooth its asking SIM in dialpad, also there is no option for Video call..

I'm facing the same problem too with SBH 52. Everything works until I click on Call tick, then have to reach out for mobile and select SIM ... This is frustrating

I'm facing same problem even with my wired earphones. It goes upto the one contact from multople contacts with same name but it stops at sim selection level.
There should be sim selection settings for default dialing.

Its more than a month there is no solution from Sony..... no updates or fix the issue then we have only option to change the phone or bluetooth

I have same problem: I can`t make a phonecall via my bluetooth (ford focus sony handsfree + T2 Ultra). I waiting changes in new firmware version. In my old ZTE phone I can choose default sim card for making phonecalls. In sony T2 - I can`t.

Agreed, It's an only current firmware problem (Android 4.3 build 19.0.D.0.253)

Possible solutions:

1) redial from the same SIM card where last incoming call has been received (default, cheap for same mobile operato outgoing tarifications),

2) redial from one pre-defined SIM card for outgoing calls when bluetooth headset is connected (for example from unlimited tarification)

Both solutions can be solved as an exclusion options (radio-buttons). Nothing hard, but so useful for end-users!

Hope than SonyMobile developers/QA will hear us about ASAP.

We're working on adding a setting for selecting default SIM for bluetooth in the update to Android 4.4 so that you don't need to select SIM when dialing from bluetooth.

Rickard, when this update will be ready? Issue was first reported in April. Today is the end of May! Why not to make bug fix earlier? Don't you understand that you put yout customers in REAL DANGER!

sure it's a real problem because we need to desactivated a sim or choose sim during driving.

if we must wait your kitkat version, it s can during few months... a simple fix : few days

There is no settings for choose default sim card for bluetooth in new firmware based on android 4.4. Do you still planing to add this option? If you do, tell us when.
