The problem is as follows:

Week ago I succesfully replaced cracked LCD display and digitizer in my Xperia U. Today phone just went and froze on the home screen. I proceeded to ejecting a battery (about 40% charged), but after that deed the device did not turn on again. When I plugged it to charger, red diode blinked once, and that was absolutely all that happened. The same occurence repeated whenever I tried to use power button when plugged.

Obvious stuff I found on Internet did not fix it (power + vol Up; repairing soft with PC Companion requires phone to be turned on with screen unlocked).

I'd appreciate explanations and solutions.

You changed it by yourself?Try to charge the phone for 1 hour, after that remove the battery.Put it back in and do NOT turn on the phone.Download sony update service and repair software:

Yes, I replaced it myself.

Unfortunately phone still does not respond in any way to that updating thingy. The only reaction I get from the phone still is red blink if I try to turn it on when it's plugged.
