201 UPDATE EXPERIENCE

I would love to say here, that the update is just perfect. I CAN NOT.

Yes. the phone nas more RAM now, moving in menu or on the home screen is supersmooth and it reacts in the same time as U touch the screen. Uninstalling apps takes no time. Great Job, well done guys!

Now, let´s mention here, what has not changed and was the reason for downgrade from previous update as well.

1. DIMMING / LIGHTNING THE SCREEN / when U hit the light widget on the screen / - It does not run smoothly and takes over one second. It just isn´t looking nice, like it was a cheap china noname phone.

2. MINILAG EVERY 1-2 SECONDS- You can see that very well, when Antutu is testing 2D graphics or when You run games like Traffic racer or Hill climb racing. Not smooth at all.. Concentrate on that and you will see it. Very annoying, when You know about it. Even when You are slowly scrolling down a web page, it is there.

This is unacceptable for a premium brand!

All I want is a phone, that works. 4.3 and XSP is not a perfect match, dear Sony. Waste of yours and my time.

4.1.2 is a nice Job, thank You for that.

PS: I know, everybody begs here for a new update release and than is complaining, that he has recieved a load of brown. But guys, when You roll out an update, make sure, that it is a good one. We can wait longer for a good .. for example.... kitkat

They cant see and they dont care about our flickering-minilag problem... before i instal .201 i made a thread on xda asking about if flickering is fixed.. but people said it didnt 😕 nvm i tried it and confirm that by myself...
I will stay on 4.1.2 with my sp (my last sony phone) and i really hope for no flickering kitkat...
but i think they dony care about kitkat on sp... even if this phone will be perfect with kitkat

btw i dont know why but if you capture your screen with Screen recording app there is no flickering and minilag if u check video on pc...

I have tryed many 4.3 firmwares in the past, and every one of them has the same problems. And the so-called bug fixing update did not do much.

4.1.2 is the best

One thing that doesnt fixed

Auto brightness

That feature doesnt work from the 4.1.2

That works for me, somehow.. But only at one level. It resets itself after hiting the ligt widget on the screen, and than it works, how sony wants to

I have installed 201 as an OTA update cause PC Companion will not work. After a 25% done in the second step it stops working. I used 266 before and there was the problem that the phone crashes in the lockscreen when I started the walkman app by smart connect. My special problem was that I added an exchange mail with active sync with special security setup.

I do not have a problem with auto brightness. The kind it changes the light is not smooth but there is no flickering. Sometimes the phone crashes after some days. I think this was a Ram lag. I will see if this problem is solved.

This version is better than 4.1.2. Wifi better, more RAM, Power on with black display is gone.

In my case it is only better and stable wifi and LED working with Stamina on.

With 4.1.2 I get 450 mb of free ram, everything runs smoothly and is just perfect for me.

My SP or your SP acting weird!!

Cause on 4.1.2 i have so many problems! Low ram..wifi issue..toche issue and etc..apps crash and low gaming performance

But even on .206 my phone acting great..300mg free ram..extreme gaming performance...and on 1.201 also more ram..better performance no screen flickering on xperia keyboard..now i have lovely SP!

Or, I can give an answer myself. Use pc companion, click on the repair button. It repairs EVERY phone and if not, go to the shop There is no way that we have had made any mistake in the firmware.
