After the latest software update there is some kind of conflict that makes the sound disfunction when using my normal bluetooth headset (JABRA PRO 9400). The headset worked fine for a couple of weeks, but following the last update, the connection (sound) will be unstable after a some time of convervsation (usually 3-5 minutes). The poor connection results in noise (scrambling) and loss of microphone.

Strangely, it does not happen when using my other JABRA SUPREME headset.

*** MOVED TO THREAD "Re: Xperia Z1 Compact 4.4 Update Issues"***

Will Sony respond to this issue or do I need to send in phone for repair???

I have the same problem, I´m using 3 different BT headset, Plantronics Vouager Pro and Plantronics Vouager Pro+ and Jabra Clipper.

All three worked perfect when I started to use the xZ1c, Plantronics is the only headset where nobody complains about sound quality. But recently, since April (about) i constantly get the sound pulsing in my headset during phonecall.

It's ONLY when using the phone, soundquality for listening to music is'n affected!

Persons I speek to also complain about sound quality so Im unable to use the my headsets for phonecall!

Have managed to remove the fault by restarting everything, but It only lasts for a short while.

Im sure Its the phone software, but to proove it I need to reset the phone which im not really happy to do so I hope Sony can give me a suggestion before that (or confirm that you are aware of this issue and working on it)
