Email Badge Notification

Since I have had this phone which I love it's keeps showing a badge notification that I have 250 unread emails, I have emptied the trash and junk emails and been online and removed all unread emails but makes no difference. When I go into the email app it shows 250 emails but when I click on inbox there are none.

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

Have you tried to remove the account and add it again? If not, I suggest that you got to Email > Menu-button > Settings > Your@account > Delete account.
