After update to 4.3, I found out that sound effects don't working while playing video with Movies app. The sound enhancement won't makings a different with the sound projected out. But, it's still working great for Walkman app.

Are the sound enhancements crashing?Then you need to repair via sony update service,it has been reported before:

It doesn't mention any crashing with the sound enhancements, but, while playing video with Movies app, you can select any sound enhancement but still it won't give any difference. I recognise this problem while try to tune using the custom select, and it doesn't change the sound at all.

Strange,have you tried settings-apps-all-movies,clear data and restart?

This is an acknowledged problem by sony here in this forum: with the latest ota uodate. 136 the sound enhancement is not working any longer with thitd party apps (play music, youtube, mx player, etc) and sony itself has cinfirmed thisbwill be fixed in 4.4
