topic Sony Xperia P in XPERIA archive

I have a sony xperia P and I access my aol account from the email (envelope) icon on the desktop of my phone. I recently changed the password of my aol account on my laptop and when I tried to access new messages in aol on my phone it shows the old emails until I updated the password. It also gives me a warning at the top of my phone saying could not log in to aol account. How do I update the password? I have gone into settings off the menu button then the general choice and it gives me no option to change.update password. Is there any way to do it? Or do I go into accounts and sych under settings and delete the aol account? I have tried to do this by holding my finger over it to see waste can and that doesnt work either. I have a sony xperia P not an SP but it didnt give me the option of just P here.

You're on 4.1 right? I have 4.3 and the mail app is slightly different. I looked for where to change password after reading your post. And I think it goes like this: Open the mail app, hit three dots to go into settings, choose your account, scroll down to see server settings. There are two options here: imcoming settings and outgoing settings, you might be able to change your password there and I think you have to change it in both of these settings.

Note: The names might be different I'm not using the phone in English.

Thank you Ogu, I just tried that and can get to settings but unfortunately cannot see server settings anywhere. I read online the same method somewhere else and alas that server option is not anywhere I can find it. I will keep looking. If you have any other ideas please feel free to share. I will keep trying to find server settings somewhere on the phone.

You are welcome, RedHare. Maybe you should look for something like outgoing settings and incoming settings. But you can just delete that account and then re-add it. I don't think it'd cause any problems. I have the SP, saw your post there now it's moved maybe fellow P users may help you better.
