my phone keeps restarting and i cant coonect it to go throught steps of fixing its software

Remove the battery,put it back in and repair via sony update service:

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

If the software repair, I suggest removing the SIM card and SD card to see if the restarting stops, as this is not always related to software but sometimes SIM cards and SD cards.

Failing all options supplied, I then suggest you get the handset to a service agent. I have supplied Sony Mobile Customer Care contact information in the below link.

I have the same issue. I tried everithing - had remove battery, sim and sd cards, tryed softwere repair it using "Xperia Companion" but it ends with "

An error occurred while repairing your device.
