Photos taken from front facing camera appear inverted

Whenever I click Photos from my Xperia SP's front facing camera they appear inverted (mirrored). They automatically get mirrored while getting saved and that makes the photo look soo odd..!! Please help. I've reset my phone twice and thats not helping.

I have the same issue. The photos I take with front facing camera gets saved as flipped horzontally. I tried clearing cache and I already reset the phone but it remained same. Since the photos are not corrupted I don't mind, it's a vga cam after all. But it'd be good if it is fixed.

I have the same issues. I thought it was not a bug but one of strange styles of Xperia SP.

I am also experiencing the same problem, and noticed that this unusual camera issue developed after 4.3 upgrade. Please help.

it works that way!

its not a bug..it will show you real positions..that thing you see on camera screen is mirorred

In this regard please note before 4.3 update whatever I used to see in secondary camera screen, photo output was same only. But after the update I found the photo output got mirrored, which makes the photo looks very odd. Please have a try.

I thought it might be that but the thing is on 4.1 they were saved as they were, that's why I thought it might be a bug. Thanks for clearing that up.

You are correct ogu.
In the earlier version photos from seconday camera was as it was seen in the screen..as I have got some saved photographs in the earlier version. So easily I can compare those.
Now the question is" is it a bug"??

Yes, ayanjeet that question made me post here. Though it makes sense to flip it. You know lets say you take a selfie with a firend to your right. When it's saved as it's seen it'd look like that friend is at your left side. You can also take pictures of the same object with both cameras you'll see that they are the same except one will be low res. I guess 4.1 and 4.3 had (and for some still has) many bugs it kinda became hard for us to differentiate between what works properly and what doesn't. And sp is my first with a ffcam so didn't know what to expect.

Xperia SP front camera software is literally having an issue. I found it out myself when I tried and I downloaded and installed some camera application on Google Store. I took a pic of me and it didn't flip or mirrored.

Xperia SP front camera has issues. Xperia Z1 20MP camera is super grainy in a low light condition (indoor and at night). Even iPhone 5 8MP camera is so much way better than Z1.

That makes me think 1000 times to buy Xperia Z2. Pre-order has been cancelled. I just don't want to be disappointed for the third times. Blah blah blah Sony.

Ayanjeet, you can try Camera 360. It works properly on Xperia SP or Z1
